As part of the inaugural Black2Zanzibar Festival, including the 'Coming to Africa' Gala, we are honored to recognize individuals within our community who are actively creating change, uplifting the global Black diaspora, and prioritizing healing in meaningful ways. These awards are about impact, intention, and action!

Guests attending the Black2Zanzibar group trip may nominate themselves or nominate another guest who will be joining the trip.

 

Award Categories

Change Maker Award

Honors an individual creating meaningful change through action, not just intention. This award recognizes those who are actively transforming their communities, industries, or circles through leadership, service, or innovation.

 

Pan-African Impact Award

Recognizes work that uplifts Black people globally, not just locally. This award celebrates individuals whose efforts connect, empower, or invest in the African diaspora across borders.

Healing in Action Award

Honors someone prioritizing mental health, wellness, or healing in the Black community. This includes emotional, spiritual, physical, or cultural healing work that restores, nurtures, and empowers others.

 

Important Notes

• Nominees must be attending the Black2Zanzibar group trip.

• You may submit one application per nominee.

• Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.

• Award recipients will be selected by the Black2Zanzibar team.

• Winners will be announced during the Coming to Africa Gala.
