Black2Zanzibar is a curated 3-Day Juneteenth Festival & homecoming happening June 18-20 2026 that celebrates Black history, freedom, joy, and excellence on African soil.

The Black to Zanzibar Festival is where culture, connection, and celebration collide. Over three unforgettable days, 200+ guests of the global Black community will come together to honor heritage, embrace joy, and live it up through dazzling fashion, world-class music, epic parties, and authentic cultural experiences that spark pride and unity.
Our Story
Black to Zanzibar was created with a vision to change the narrative and bridge the gap between the African diaspora and the motherland. For too long, misconceptions and fear have kept many people from exploring Africa. We believe it’s time to rewrite that story.

As proud Pan-Africans and avid travelers, our mission is bigger than a celebration, it’s about connection, education, and empowerment. Our inaugural festival in June 2026 is more than just a trip; it’s an opportunity to return to our roots, honor our heritage, and celebrate Juneteenth in a place that represents true freedom and cultural pride.

While West Africa, countries like Ghana, has become the popular destination, we want to shed light on the beauty and richness of East Africa, starting with Zanzibar, Tanzania. Known for its pristine beaches, vibrant culture, and deep history, Zanzibar is truly paradise, and we’re here to show you that Africa is more than what’s trending, it’s diverse, it’s breathtaking, and it’s home.
